Sat, 28 Mar 1998

Lisa

:Lisa, Claude and Uni rush over to the hot springs. "AAAAHHH" I need this, after a long hard day at work" Lisa sighs. Uni sniffs at the water gingerly, before taking the plunge into the water, where she promply begins to frolic aroundd with the other bondmates in the water. Claude on the other hand, sits by the pool.

:I've already had my bath: He complains.

"Don't be such a miserable little teddy bear, come on in"

:No:. While Claude is complaining, Uni sneaks around behind him and SPLOSH pushes him in! After he gets over the shock of it, he strts enjoying himself, and forgets that he didn't want to get in.

Lisa says hi to the other Listsibs who are enjoying the pool and offers them their choice of Pies, and confectionary sheep.:

Heartsong

Heartsong enters from the Mist and walks about the Hall looking for Elsa. She sees her at the pool and says "I am sorry about the dragon. If you do not want her, I will take her back. I did not mean to burden you with an unwanted weight. I could find her a home or she can stay with me if you do not wish to have her and there will be no hard feelings."

As she waits for a reply, she searches for ShadowWolf and mindsends: Would you care to dance with me. I have been dieing to dance to Kiss From a Rose by Seal for a long time. Besides, I wan to see how the awnry little kyree is doing. Woosa also wanted to meet you.

Aerden

Chantal (Mistily known as Joyful Singer), comes walking through the Halls of Mist with a spring in her step and a song in her heart, bearing a Never Emptying, Never Cooling platter of spinach quesadillas. She waves to her listsib friends and places the platter on a centrally located table for everyone to enjoy.

"Have some quesadillas, virtually beamed over from Ninfa's!" She grins happily. "I'm getting a wonderful, new book tomorrow--Reconstruction of Life from the Skeleton." ::Snoopy dance!!!:: "Gods, I wish I'd had this when I took Archaeology in college. I could have written a really neat paper." ::blissful sigh::

::Aerden looks at her, then at the listsibs:: "She's just my author. I don't EVEN pretend to understand...." ::Goes back to reading his neurosurgery book::

Barbara

Barbara wanders around and finds the hot tub and sinks in. Suddenly a fluffy stuffed Himalayan cat appears on her clothes. She lookes at the collar around it's neck, it reads `This cat will keep you company whenever you need her just call her name and she will come to you. Her name is Whiskers From Heartsong.' She thinks to herself *I must find heartsong and thank her for these gifts, first the Apache Tear and now this beautiful cat.*

She looks around for her aquatic sheep Asari, finding that she is playing with some of the other sheep and goes looking for Heartsong.

*There she is* Barbara makes her way across the hall and comes to a stop in front of Heartsong. "Thank you for the beautiful gifts and I know that Whiskers will keep me company in my most lonliest of times."

Elsa

Elsa sighs with evident relief."Yes, that would be good. I'm sorry I couldn't give the little one a home,but it just wouldn't have worked out, I'm afraid." She pats Skydancer on the head,and then gently passes him to Heartsong.

She gets out of the pool and wraps the bigger towel around her body and the smaller one around her hair and goes over to the spinach quesadillas. Eating one, she says to Chantal (Joyful Singer) "I used to want to be an archeologist, but I discovered that I just pretty much like history. What college did you go to?"

Javelin

Javelin hears the sound of splashing water and turns toward the sound. As she is freezing and suffering from a large dose of rain whilst waiting for the bus. She runs to the large warm pool and dives in, realising that the english weather had managed to soak her already, anything the pool could do would be an improvement.

"Heyla everyone, sorry for causing such a splash" She looks around for one of those sheep people were handing out before. She smiles and makes her way to one of the carved benches that has just convieniently appeared in the pool, near the edge.

Yvonne

Then she runs to the new hot springs that have formed on the other side of the Hall and jumps in, making a big SPLASH! and getting withering looks from a few already enjoying the pool. "Sorry," she says, blushing and grinning sheepishly. Then she hands them warm, dry sheep to dry off on when they want to.

What can I say? *Yvonne seeks out the soaking Katie and kneels beside her as she soaks in the hot tub, tapping her steaming shoulder to get her attention.*

"You have come to my attention because of your rather enthusiastic jump into yon hot pool - a girl after mine own heart!" *She smiles, flicking a dripping lock of dark brown hair out of her hazle eyes.* "I am the current holder of the Friendship Ring, which was introuced to this list by our very own Mage of Silence. I see it fit to give to you."

*At this, Yvonne slipps a ring of twined silver, gold, and electrum off her finger and places it on Katie's. When she does so, there is a flash of blueish light, and three rings appear on her hand - one silver, one gold, and one electrum.*

"When the week is up, 'tis your turn to give the ring to another newbie, spreading the goodwill onward. When you do so, three rings shall appear on your hand in place of the one that you have given. Welcome, and welcome once more!"

Reighvyn

Reighvyn lifts her crimson skirt and delicately steps over a puddle of saltwater gathering on the stone floor, to approach a Newbie lurking in the shadows.

"Cymrey, I'm very glad you joined us. But let me give you a word of warning: watch for people with buckets. Besides that, I hope you enjoy yourself, and, well. . .here!"

Reighvyn hands Cymrey a silver pendant of a sheep that, when you rub it's sterling fur, the legs move, suspended on a necklace. "Have fun. I have to admit that it's not as good as a real one, but I have a slight allergy to wool."

With that, Reighvyn tucks a stray curl behind her ear, executes a neat curtsey to the bewildered Cymrey, and picks her way through the crowd to where someone is playing a lute.

Ashandra

Ashandra smiled from her spot at the edge of the mists, finally getting the nerve to find the poois that she has heard so many people talking about. She pulls the errant bits of hair back into her ponytail and walks to the pools. Striping quickly, she slips into a shadowed area of the pool, moving into the light once she is covered. Taking a spot on the edge of the pool, she waves happily to those around, avoiding the splashes of those who are much too entusiastic about getting in.

Heartsong

Heartsong smiles at Barbara and Whiskers. She is happy to see that they get along. She then sends a feeling of warmth and comfort to both of them. Then Woosa laughs and says,"It seems to me that you have learned somethings from me afterall Heartsong. It is good to see people happy and together. I wish you well Barbara and Whiskers." Then Apache Tear nuzzles Barbara on the cheek and licks her. She then mindsends: You deserve Whiskers. She will always safe guard you and anytiem you need help or someone kept in line call upon me. Apache smiles and shows a mouth full of sharp teeth.

Heartsong takes SkyDancer from Elsa and wraps him in sheepskin and places him in a special bag that is carefully handed to Woosa. He then puts him over his back. Woosa looks down at the baby and smiles."He will be an awnry, but good friend to have once he is grown. I bet he gets bigger than his mother Jade." Heartsong smiles and minsends to all: If someone is looking for a dragon familiar please come to me. Then shge walks off to find ShadowWolf. He owes her a dance. But then she sees the hottub and stops to see there are too many people there. Then she goes off to a corner and creates a watrefall heated by natural springs. She drops her blue robes to reveal a scarlet dragon skin swimsuit. It looks like a sunset as the light hits it. She luaghs and jumps into the water. Then Woosa follows and Apache Tear does a canon ball jump. SkyDancer awakes and begins to cry. Heartsong gets him and brings him into the water. He giggles and laughs. Heartsong smiles and goes under the waterfall with him. The warm water feels good and SkyDancer pulls away from her to swim on his own. He sheds a layer of skin and is almost twice the size he was before. Heartsong looks in shock and he laughs and mindsends: I grow fast and soon I will be able to fly and give you a ride.

Heartsong laughs an she realizes how fast her friends can grow if they choose. Then she sets up a series of rainbow colored Mage lights and invites all her listsibs to come and play in the warm water. Then she goes back to playing with her small group. All is well.

Rainbow

Rainbow smiles round at all her listsibs, and notices that there are two dragons now, Typo, and what was that she heard the not-so-little one called? Skydancer? She goes and sits in the hot tubs, stripping self- consiously, then bounces in, splashing people in the process, and then handing out sheep shaped towels. She smiles as Heartsong makes her namesake appear above the pools. (Dee is busy eating, as usual) she notices, smiling as her friend turns round.

When Heartsong asks if anyone needs a dragonic familiar she waves her hand, and mindsends, :If no one else has offered first I would be glad to take him.:

Then she goes and puts on some Animiian music, waving her arms she produces some bubbles, (veteran listsibs will remember these!) she thinks as she notices gasps of delight as they pop on people's lips. Then she produces a wind-chime of pure diamond that rings out one of her favourite tunes, 'Greensleeves', and she watches as people dance to it, and mindsends to everyone, :Ask it to play something and it will, it knows nearly everything...:

Heartsong

Heartsong looks down at SkyDancer as he swims around and tears form in her eyes. She cannot bare to separate with her new baby, but she begins to grin as ahe remembers, Spectra. She leaves the Hall and returns before anyone can blink, but no onenotices her because flying thru the air is a brilliantly colored dragon. She almosts blinds the lookers by her colors. When she lands she is as big as a house. Her scales ar a deep scarlet that flash gold as the sun catches each of them. She quickly maneuvers her way to Rainbow and bows. Then she opens her mouth to speak and a melodiuos voice sings out," I am sorry I am not SkyDancer, but Heartsong believes that I would be more appropriate for you. You see we both are eye catching and can stir this place up. Plus with my nephew over there you would have to wait awhile before you can ride him and he will still not be as big or flashy as me." Chuckling she continues,"I believe I am one of the most exotic creatures among my own people and one of the best looking. If you did not catch my name, I am Spectra as in spectacular and I think we are going to be great friends. You are definately more than worthy of me. I hope you think they same of me. If you do, I suggest you jump on so we can go create a scandal of ourselves."

Heartsong laughed at Spectra and disappeared. When she returned she was riding a royal blue dragon that was smaller than Spectra. Spectra looked surprised and the other dragon laughed as he landed gracefully next to his aunt. Eloquently he states, "I grow faster than you give me credit for aunt. You are right though, I will never be as big as you or as flashy, but I can still turn a few heads. I also bet that I can beat you in a race." With that SkyDancer leaps into the air with Heartsong holding on for dear life. Woosa and Apache Tear fall on the ground laughing and stare at Spectra and Rainbow. Then Woosa chides, "Well you two are letting them get ahead of you. You better hurry if you do not want those two to beat you. I would put my money on you two. Besides Heartsong and SkyDancer are a little too big for their britches. Go show them a thing or two."

Then Woosa and Apache Tear go try to find people that they can bet wih in who is going to win.

Rainbow

Rainbow jumped up in the air, weaving a magical cloak around herself as she formed clothes, (If I'm racing, I'm doing it fully clothed!) she thought smiling as she jumped on Spectra, the young dragon turned her elongated elegant head, and winked once, slowly...

:Lets get 'em,: her booming mind voice reterbrated in Rainbow's head, :I want to show that nephew of mine what REAL skydancing is!:

Rainbow nodded, grinning, :Okay, dearheart, lets fly!: then in open mind-call, :Hey, Heartsong, round the Halls, and back? We can have a fancy flying contest too!:

She Felt her new bond-mate's approval, Spectra glowed a brilliant ruby, and opened her gold and scarlet wings and leaped into the air.

:Hey, I'm sure I can stand up to a Dragon's speed!: Dee'rina snorted up as they took up to the air, and Rainbow smiled as her best friend leaped and joined them.

Spectra turned to glance at the pegasi, :You'll have to keep up then!: she mind-laughed, and Rainbow groaned outloud and mentally, (What /have/ I gotten myself into? These two are going to make life /so/ intresting!)

Spectra's full attention turned to her nephew and Heartsong, and Rainbow wove a net of magic around them, lessing air-resistance to pratically nothing, :Well it can't hurt, physics must still partly hold true!: She called to Heartsong as her friend, (may I?) accused her of cheating. Lightly going into trance she added her own muscle power to the dragon's and they swooped round the great glass dome of the Halls.

:We're gaining! We're past!: Spectra crowed as they passed the library, and Rainbow grinned as they heard the crowd cheer!

Ashandra

Ashandra looked up to watch the new dragon arrive. She certainly was striking. Then the smaller dragon arrived, and Ashandra smiled even wider. Cool. He was blue. She loved blue.

Then she heard the challanges go out and ducked instinctively as first Skydancer and then Spectra took off into the air.

She swam out to the far edge of the water to get a better look at the race. She smiled as Apache Tear walked by and said. "Hmm...Spectra may be stronger, but I have a feeling that Skydancer will probably win. He's smaller, and that means he's quick to!"

She ducked again as the dragons came over where she was and rolled her eyes. :Dragon races. Pegasi. Strange people with strange powers coming in and out all the time. Blessed Danann, what next?: she thought to herself as she watched the finish of the race.

Mon, 30 Mar 1998

Elsa

Elsa skips happily into the Hall,a huge smile on her face as she balances a triple decker chocolate fudge devil's foodcake with super dark semisweet chocolate icing on her head.Amazingly,it doesn't tip (I am a master of balancing stuff on my head) and doesn't appear to weigh her down at all. She sets it on a table in the middle of the Hall,then takes of her haversack and pulls out plates, forks, glasses, a HUMONGOUS pitcher of cool milk and a freezer full of ice cubes.She cuts herself out a hefty wedge of cake,then plunks some icecubes in a glass with milk.Holding up her fork,she announces (and trust me everyone would hear me announce anything;I'm very loud) "Attendez vous!!! I made cake!! Dig in, all!!"

With that, she goes and finds a comfortable armchair under a maple tree and begins to devour her snack,careful not to get any icing on her red,white,and black skirt.The cake is gone from hr plate in a matter of minutes.She washes it down with her milk,then crunches thoughtfully on her ice cubes.Pulling her sketchbook out of her bag, she begins drawing faeries, centaurs,satyrs, nymphs and manitous in a misty glade, cavorting around a couple standing on a mossy rock next to a waterfall. The girl in the picture is a redhead,and bears remarkable resemblance to the artist.She wears a filmy white shift and a white and gold skarf trails from her fingers.The man is blond,taller than than the other.His ears are pointed and he exudes the fey grace of the sidhe. He appears to be either blacing a crown of flowers over the girls head, or removing it.Both seem oblivious to the celebration around them,they have eyes only for each other.

Finishing the drawing, Elsa flips the page and starts another picture,this one again featuring herself but wearing azure pajamas instead of a dress.In the picture, she appears to be leaning against a large,emerald green dragon, who almost appears to be speaking to her.The pair are in a forest,and just beyond a stand of trees can be seen a tall,brown haired girl wearing purple pajamas and a cape(or is that a blanket) leaning on a glaive and talking to a short, cute guy in blue mage's robes and a skeleton wearing a sword.

Kat

Heartsong reappears from the Mist healed. She is happy to see that people are enjoying her gazebo and hot tub. She sees the flower that appeared in her hand and Apache Tears ear. She looks across the room to see that it is a gift from a newbie. She quickly walks over to her and hugs her. She mindsends: Thank you soo much Kat. Ilove flowers and so does mufurball. She would say thank you if she were not playing with the wolves and owls o much. Heartsong looked in the direction of Apache Tear and laughed tosee an overgrown panther jumping about like a frog. She then turnedback to Kat. "Kat I think you deserve a psecial gift for your generosity.Where I come from all people bond to a animal. If you do not mind, I havebrought a friend for you.(Heartsong reaches out into the air and a smallcreme colored kitten appears in her hand.) She has no name yet, butshe is just a baby. She will grow with you as you grow in the Hall. She willbe a full grown lioness one day to match you. You see I know in my heartthat you are just as strong and bold as she. So pleasse take her in goodhealth. She is an orphan and could use a friend.

Kat quietly waits for a lull in the Hall, so as to get Heartsong's attention for a moment. "Dandelion and I would like to thank you very nuch for bringing us together, we are a perfect match! Thank you so much for your kindness, and for welcoming me so warmly to the Hall" Before she leaves, she presents a tray of cotton candy sheep (of course) for all to enjoy, and gives Heartsong a tiny purple box. "I think I will return to lurking for a while, Dandelion is quite anxious to return to chasing butterflies!" As she backs into the shodows she watches Heartsong open the box- and take out a beautiful amethyst Unicorn on a silver chain.

Mishi

Mishi, the Goddess of Hyperness and Overbubbliness, who has been missing from the misty list for quite awhile suddenly appears before everyone. (Sorry, not back permantly just via Ele so I can do a Naming)

"Lady MegGlitte, please stand before me."

MegGlitte steps forward and bows her head. Mish stands before Meg and places her Magical POuncing wand on Meg's shoulder. Meg feels herself begin to tingle.

"Meg, I hearby name thee to the postion of High Preistess of Welcoming POUNCES in charge of the Department of Warm Fuzzies on the Misty list - to carry out your duties I give you a magical springboard, Magical Powder Of Extra POUNCING Power for those days when you have lots of people to POUNCE, the ability to summon the pattened Pile O' Big Fluffy Pillows and an extra amount of energy to call on whenever you need it."

Congratulations, MegGlitte, and welcome to my church. Now go forth and use your powers only for good!! *G*

Skywolf

Skywolf moved out to the pools quietly and watched as people ran and splashed each other with abandon. She ducked by instinct as the race between a dragon and a pegasi screeched by. Oh my, she thought, I wonder who will win? She found a place on a bench where she could watch the beautiful race commence. Suddenly -stuff- came flooding over her. Flowers, sheep (both real and as cute decorations for cookies) candies, name it, it appeared. It came to her as she was sitting there awash among the countless gifts that while she'd been away, people's gifts had just been sitting in a kind of storage, waiting for her to get back.

*Well, that's what you get for waiting so long to come back* came Misha's smug voice. *I, on the other hand, never truely left, and so, go to get all MY goodies when they were first presented.* Misha padded up to Skywolf and expertly flipped her elbow up with her nose to get attention.

* oh do be quiet* Skywolf thought back with amusement.Just then she heard a very loud announcement for cake. Chocolate cake. Misha and Skywolf locked eyes for a moment, but then were off, trying to beat each other to the cake in the first sign of activness Skywolf had shown in a while in the Hall.

Nightfire

The Gypsy NightFire Steps out of the shadows that she has been lurking in. She calls for the attention of the Hall. She smiles broadly at all her listsibs.

*sigh* It is with a heavy heart that I must leave this wonderful place. I'm unshure of when or if I may return. Becca and I have been having problems in rl that demand more attention than we have been giving them. We will be on list reciving Till wednesday and then we must unsubscribe. I will miss all my friends here and hopefully will return soon. I ask to be the first member of the Order of Unsung Heros. Thank you all for your kindness and your wonderful conversation!

Heartsong

Heartsong frowns at Rainbow's use of physics, but smiles as two thoughts come to mind. She sends out a replicating spell and then she sets SkyDancer on another plane of reality and they reappear just before the finish line. The other plane is faster: Heartsong mindsends. She then swoops down for a piece of cake and Skydancer takes a bite. Also Heartsong swoops over Kat and thanks her for the necklace. She also decides to use it as a focus stone and stores power in it. She will never take it off again. Then she yells as she head towards the finish line to Kat,"You did not have to give me that gift. I am more than greatful that you took over my orphan friend Dandelion. You two look cute together. Be happy."

Ashandra

Ashandra ducks to the side as Elsa comes splashing into the pool. She's watched Elsa run around the Hall of Mists, and tries to figure out exactly WHAT has gotten into him, and if someone should call the healers.

Sighing, she shakes her head when Elsa comes up singing. Off key at that. She cringes as Elsa hits an especially sour note.

"Okay," she says, using her theater training to project through the entire hall. "Who gave Elsa the sugar?" To herself, she thinks, :Gads...And I thought the DRAGON RACE was bad.:

Ashandra sits back and tries to block the singing from her mind...

Katie

After quite a while (about 4 days), Katie pulls her head out of boring texts on the ethics of DNA testing. With a smile and a relieved sigh, she waves her hand and the texts disapear. As she waves her hand, she notices a glint on her finger. Looking at it more closely, she sees it is a ring woven of silver, gold, and platinum. Suddenly, it registers what this is. "The friendship ring!" she exclaims gleefully. Then her face clouds as she counts backwards and realizes how long the ring must have been there without her realizing it. She rises hurriedly and rushes off to find Yvonne to thank her for the wonderful gift . . .

Heartsong

Heartsong hears Freedoms request and jumps for joy. She appears right behind her and taps her on the shouldr. "I would love to give you a familiar and have been waiting to hear you say that. I would also love to take car eof your friend of flight. My heart and family always have room for another. As for your familiar. Here she is. I hope you approve."

Heartsong smiles with glee as she steps aside to reveal a huge black cat. At first glance, she looks like Apache Tear and just as Freedom is about to speak up, the delicate creature walks into the full light of the Hall. All that see her are taken aback. For she is black as night in the dark, but in the sun of full day she is blazing fire color. She mentally laughs into Freedom's mind: I know I may seem a bit flamboyant for a warrior like you, but I am not. My name is Makana, which means warrior of the fire. I am a warrior princess where I am from and have seen as many battles as you. I am as dark as night for prowling in the dark and a blazing inferno for the heat of battle. I am just as strong willed as you and cunning. And before you thank our young sorceress, I want it made clear that she brought me here yes. But I have been watching you for sometime in my own world thru her. I was just waiting for the proper opportunity to appear and this seemed like the best time. So I propose a friendship to you Allaya.

Heartsong's mouth drops to the ground and Apache Tear turns her head towards the group as they both realize the honor that Makana ahs bestowed on Freedom. Before anyone could speak Woosa stepped forward o explain,"Freedom, our friend just basically called you feline sib I guess would be the best translation. Anyways, it is an honor that most of her kind do not bestow most on the human realm. Her kind do not normally associate with us. They only do so when the person is very special and it seems you have been deemed so by royalty. This is an occasion, I think."
